OOTD: October 1st

Today was the first day of October, so I knew I had to honor that with a cute fall outfit. The gorgeous skirt I’m wearing inspired this look, but I also used Pinterest to help me figure out how to style it. Here are some photos I used for inspiration:

Now, here is the breakdown of my whole outfit!

Cream Sweater: I got the sweater I wore from Forever 21 about a year ago and it’s a comfy and cute basic that goes with just about any outfit. Forever 21 no longer sells the one I’m wearing, so I just found a similar piece.

Plaid skirt: I am on a recent skirt kick, and I’ve been obsessed with all structured skirts, especially those of the denim variety. I didn’t own a plaid skirt until I found the one I’m wearing on a clearance rack at Forever 21 for $9, and I knew it was meant to be. I couldn’t find my exact skirt on their website, but I did find a similar skirt that is absolutely adorable.

Sneakers: This outfit is super versatile as to what shoes you can wear with it. To keep it comfy and casual, I chose my basic everyday Adidas Superstars, but you could wear this outfit with some booties, or even Dr. Martens.

Hair Scarf: I’m a pretty simple hair girl. I’m awful at doing my own hair, so I’ll usually just wear it down, and I’ll occasionally throw on a Boho Bandeau or scrunchie. A recent trend that I think is gorgeous is hair scarves, so I tied one in my (extremely messy) hair. I recently picked up the one I’m wearing from Forever 21 but I couldn’t find it online (who’s surprised). Instead, I found this one from Francesca’s that is exactly my style and super adorable.

Tiny gold hoops: My small gold hoop earrings are an essential for me, and I literally wear them every single day. They are pretty but simple, and they go with every look you can imagine. The ones I wear are real gold and I’ve had them since I was a baby, but I found some dupes from Francesca’s.

I love this outfit and I hope you do too! This is only the beginning of a plethora of fall OOTDs because in my opinion, fall fashion is the best fashion. Stay tuned for more and have a wonderful October!
