My Favorite Healthy Lunch for School

I’m a high school student, which (sadly) means that I have to eat a packed lunch everyday. Packed lunches can be boring, but I found a way to keep lunch interesting and delicious – protein boxes! I love these because I can switch up the contents of my protein box depending on what I’m feeling that day. Let’s dissect what I had today for lunch!

Ziploc divided rectangle container: First things first, what I put my food inside. My family has had these in our house for as long as I can remember, and they do the job.

Wasa sourdough crispbread: These are amazing. My dad introduced these crackers to me and I’ve been in love with them ever since. They are good for you (low calorie and full of fiber), and they go great with hummus.

Hummus cups: I love hummus, so having them already ready for on-the-go is so convenient. I got mine at a local supermarket, but I found a similar brand online.

Mini cucumbers: For the hummus and to get those veggies in!

Watermelon: Watermelon is delicious and a good addition to add more sweetness to contrast to the savory contents on my protein box.

Hard-boiled egg: Eggs are a great source of protein, and are super filling. I love to spice up my hard-boiled eggs with some sea salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.

Banana: Since I had to stay after school on this particular day, I brought a banana as an after school snack. I love bananas for so many reasons (mostly for making nice cream and Dole whip in my blender) and I like to travel with my bananas in a handy little device called the Banana Saver. It looks kind of silly, but it actually does what it is supposed to do.

Packing protein boxes like this one switches up my lunches and gives me the energy I need to get through the day. I hope you guys liked this post and give this lunch idea a try!
